Your Borough, Your Future roadshows
Roadshows are happening across the borough next week for people to share their thoughts about how they and the council can work together to tackle climate change.
The Your Borough, Your Future survey launched this week asking for residents’ views on what they think the council should be doing and what they, as individuals, would consider doing to prepare for the challenges faced today and into the future.
Next week roadshows will be at the following places across the borough for people to find out more and complete the survey. There will also be a hot composter on display along with a range of bins that are currently used at each location. These are:
• Monday 24, The Dell Stadium, 9am – noon; Silver Jubilee Park, Coseley, 1.30 - 4.30pm
• Tuesday 25, Asda car park Sedgley, 9am – noon; Green Park, Watsons Green Road, Dudley, 1.30 – 4.30pm
• Wednesday 26, Huntingtree Park, Halesowen, 9am – noon; King George V Park, Wordsley, 1.30 - 4.30pm

All times run from 9am to 4.30pm. Check the council website for times at Merry Hill.
The survey explores people’s views on their priorities and where they feel changes can be made to council services to reduce the carbon impact, such as improving recycling services in a cost-effective way, reducing the amount of waste that goes into the incinerator and exploring the use of alternative fuels for vehicles.
It also asks what changes to daily life residents are willing to make.
Councillor Rob Clinton, cabinet member responsible for climate change, said:
I hope people will come along to one of our roadshows to find out more and take part in the survey.
We want to find out and understand what’s working for residents now and how we can make changes for the future.
Please do get involved. The climate is changing and so must we.
The survey runs until November 18 and responses will provide valuable insight and help shape the council’s climate action plan.
It can be completed online at www.dudley.gov.uk/council-community/get-involved.
Paper copies of the survey will be available on request in libraries across the borough. People are to return the paper copies to the library and they will be collected.
Parents and carers can help their local primary school win a hot composter by taking part in the survey. When completing it, when asked, name the school and the primary school which completes the most surveys will win the hot composter.
