Christmas activities for borough youngsters
Children from across Dudley borough will be taking part in more than 1,000 sessions during the Christmas school holidays.
The Holiday Activity Fun (HAF) project is run by Dudley Council for Voluntary Services in conjunction with Dudley Council and 42 providers.
Activities including cooking sessions, Christmas party nights, midweek family meals, street dance, festive FIFA, activity packs, send activities and pantomimes are taking place.
More 4,000 children and young people who qualify for free school meals are booked onto the sessions.
Councillor Ruth Buttery, cabinet member for children and young people at Dudley Council, said:
The HAF programme offers a fantastic range of fun and enriching activities for children and young people living across the borough.
Over the Christmas break the HAF volunteers will be welcoming thousands of five to 16-year-olds to enjoy a number of sessions and will hand out goodie bags, food parcels and information to families who need it the most.
I would like to thank the incredible team once again for the work they do and I wish all the families who use HAF a very merry Christmas.
The HAF programme is part of the wider Child Friendly Dudley vision, which pledges to build the best borough possible for children and young people in Dudley.
