New strategy to be launched
People are invited to attend an online strategy launch, as part of Dudley Council’s special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) improvement programme.
The webinar will launch the Preparing for Adulthood Strategy, aimed at young people with SEND, on Thursday 10 June from 4 to 5pm.
Hosted by the Children and Young People's Alliance, the event is open to young people, parents and carers, care providers, health and local authority staff, education providers and special schools.
Attendees will get to hear about how the strategy has been developed working with young people, parents and carers and stakeholders, as well as the detail of the strategy itself.

Dudley Council is proud to play a part in the Preparing for Adulthood Strategy, which maps out how we can support young people with SEND as they transition into adulthood.
We are expecting a big interest in this Webinar and I would encourage young people, families, carers, parents and schools to come along and take part.
There will also be a question and answer session with a panel of people from Dudley Council and the Black Country and West Birmingham Clinical Commissioning Groups.
The event is free to attend but spaces must be booked online through Eventbrite.
