School crossing patrol vacancies 2022

Friendly, enthusiastic people are being sought to join the school crossing patrol team in Dudley.

Dudley Council is looking to recruit in locations across the borough and the crossing patrol team are now inviting applications. Candidates can ring up for an informal chat to help decide if the role is for them or apply online through WM Jobs.

Posts are available across the borough and in particular the areas of Stourbridge, Halesowen and Dudley.

Councillor Shaz Saleem, cabinet member for highways and public realm, said:
Our patrols do a fantastic job helping to keep children safe on the roads, and they quickly become a part of their local community. This is a rewarding job and I hope that anyone who can give their time to this special role will consider applying or calling the team for an informal chat to find out more.
Many of our patrols love the role so much they stay with us for decades. If there is anyone who is interested and can commit to an hour or so in the morning and afternoon each day, which would fit in around their other commitments, then this could be the job for them.

All posts advertised are permanent. Shift times vary on each site, but cover is required during morning and afternoon school runs. Each shift is typically 45 minutes.

Posts are for term time only – 39 weeks a year. Successful applicants will need to undergo a DBS check and health screening.

For an informal chat to discuss the vacancies, call (01384) 815401 or apply online at wmjobs.
